Welcome back, Knox.

Top-of-the-line claymation if you ask me. This movie shows you to not only be a comedian but a great animator as well.

Although the music matched the theme, I think it took a little bit away from the humor - those strange silent pauses between characters don’t work as well when there is music playing.

I love the diversity of the characters in this movie, and the smooth animation. My only complaint of course is that the video is really small, although I know if you stretch it the movie won’t be quite as clear.

Anyway, this movie is a great start to your come-back.

ha ha thanks and good job with lat months king of the portal...hopefully i can win my thrown back and be the first king of 2004 :)

Sam T once again delivers.

This movie’s score has dropped dramatically over the last few days, and I’ll tell you why:

When you first submit to Newgrounds, the people watching are more or less the people who frequently visit Newgrounds and are probably familiar with your characters. They understood all of the in-jokes, and got a lot out of the movie.

When you get put on the front page, a lot of viewers simply have no clue who you are, and don’t understand too much about what’s going on with all the various character related satire. Thus, you get a lower score.

A lot of people also seem to be yelling at you for the bit with Homestar Runner. They don’t fully understand the joke, and think you’re just in some way making fun of him (which of course it was a shot at Homestar Runner, but it wasn’t an insult nor an attack).

I like your particular style of satire, I find it very amusing. You have amazing voice talent, great visual skills and an incredible sense of humor. I also like the fact that you respond to so many of your reviews. Most of the "big" authors on Newgrounds don't bother anymore (or at all).

This is a hilarious movie, and a great addition to your overall collection.

Oh wow...

Ha ha ha!!! That’s awesome. I love your incredibly deranged sense of humor. This reminds me a lot of the kind of movies I made myself when I was your age (only, you know, without the nifty use of a computer video editor to add special effects).

I can’t believe how low this movie has scored. It surprises me that Newgrounds users would vote so low on something so delightfully twisted. Sure, the video quality isn’t great, and there are a lot of things that could be improved, but this is amazing stuff for someone your age.

Keep it up man, you’re awesome.

thanks,

Well now...

This movie has a much lower score than it should have. I don’t think people appreciate how relatively well made this stick movie is. Sure, it’s nothing like Xiao Xiao, but it has some rather good moments to it.

The animation was smooth, not perfect but good enough to make this movie enjoyable. The bullet deflecting shot was very nice, and I especially liked the little surprise at the end.

Overall, great stick movie, I’d like to see you make more in the future.

By the way, I got to this submission via the link you posted on the front page. People really do read those :)

No way… this is incredible

I am not sure where to begin on this one, I am still getting over the wondrous shock of what I just saw. Wow.

Let me start with the obvious then – style. And boy does this movie have a lot of it. I loved the way you adapted Strawberry Clock to fit the story, the changes you made to his look and the look of the other Clocks gave it an almost spooky feel – familiar characters slightly skewed and twisted.

The imagery you showed, the different looks of everything, and the way you composted it all together is simply stunning. This is the most artistically genius clock movie I’ve ever seen.

All I can say is – congratulations, you have created something amazing.

Now I have to make room so I can add this to my favorite animations list…

Amazing

I am amazed by your ability to tell a story and make a point without ever actually coming out and saying what your point is.

Your movies have meaning, and not the kind of pretend “meaning” you find in todays films (like, uh, The Matrix… “free your mind”, yeah, real deep)

Good movies make you think. Great movies make you think of something at an entirely new angle. This is a great movie.

BTW – I love the “Velcro” short film on your website.

You know what?

It’s strange. These are probably the best movies on Newgrounds and they get very little recognition.

The writing in this episode was simply amazing. I’d have to say this is my favorite one of them all.

A comedy, a drama, heck a work of art all it one.

Ha ha ha great

I’ve seen a lot of your B&W drama theater movies but for some reason missed this one. Anyway, as always, great stuff. The voice acting was great, but the lip syncing was off (I’m sure it was animated correctly, but anything other than streaming sounds in flash, such as event sounds, will end up being out of sync for most people who view it because of lag).

Great movie though. Hilarious.

AlantheBOX responds:

thanks for the tip, i just realized that the other day (after 2.5 years with flash! aye!).

Well now

Actually, you had some pretty impressive comic timing here, which is something I don’t often see on Newgrounds even in the best comedies. Great job.

Ha ha ha ha!!!

Yes, that movie pretty much sums it up. Heh heh...
